Pallet delivery services

Catering for single, multiple pallets and part load distribution across the UK and Ireland.

Ireland, UK and European Pallet Distribution

Formed in 1993, Woodside Distribution’s core business is the movement of palletised goods between the Irish and UK markets, and throughout Europe.

Through continued investment, we offer a modern fleet, the latest infrastructure and technology and a delivery network which includes stillages, crates, and roller cages. Offering a range of solutions whatever your requirement, we deliver a customer experience defined by reliability, value and peace of mind.

We work across all industry sectors with many of Ireland and the UK’s leading manufacturers, retailers and distributors.

Our operating markets include Food, FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Medical, KBB, Automotive, Packaging, Consumer Goods, Construction and Electrical to name but a few.

In addition to our own depots in Ballyclare - Co Antrim, Preston - Lancashire and Dublin - Ireland, we offer a next day and 48 hour express delivery service via the Pallet-track Network in Wolverhampton and PalletXpress in Blanchardstown. We are both Shareholders and members of each.

Express Pallet Delivery Services

Through our pallet network, we can offer an express next day and 48-hour delivery service throughout the UK and Ireland.

Pallet Track Network

Woodside Distribution joined the Pallet-Track Network in July 2017 as the sole Shareholder Member for Northern Ireland. The Pallet Track Network has over 80 shareholder members and has surpassed our expectations in terms of administrative efficiency, service levels and volume growth. We have benefited hugely from the exposure to the cutting-edge Pallet Track I.T. System. There is total transparency with full track and trace from collection through to delivery. The whole process provides our customers with a complete digital journey of their pallet through the network from the point of collection through to final delivery. Location is all important, the networks 270,000 square foot Central Hub is located in Wolverhampton within easy reach of the M5/M6 Motorway network. Our Midlands and Southern England collections and deliveries are routed through the Wolverhampton hub. This is complimented by the 70,000 square foot Northern Hub in Wigan which allows us to effectively collect and deliver within the North East and North West of England.

Pallet Xpress Network

Formed in 2004, Palletxpress is now widely regarded as the premier Pallet Network operating within the Island of Ireland. Woodside Distribution is a founder member, Shareholder and sits on the board of the network. Membership of the Pallet Xpress network allows efficient management and delivery of our Southern Irish pallet flows from our UK and Northern Irish based depots, with the relationship being reciprocal as we deliver the Networks traffic within Counties Antrim and Londonderry. The Palletxpress hub is conveniently located in Ballycoolin, North Dublin allowing ease of access to both the Motorway network and Dublin Ferry Port. The 26 member strong network provides a reliable next day service from County Donegal in the North to County Kerry in the South. The service is underpinned by a robust, cloud-based IT system that allows all pallets to be tracked and traced at every step of the journey through to final delivery. All Network employees and members are fully trained in the use of the system ensuring a consistently high level of service across the Network. Palletxpress now handles in excess of several thousand pallets per night and to cater for this a new 130,000 sq. ft hub was built at Ballycoolin in June 2019.

Car Parts Delivery

We have over 10 years’ experience of working directly with some of the worlds largest and most prestigious car manufacturers delivering their Overnight Automotive Parts to their Northern Irish Dealerships.

This includes the Overnight Line Haul Trunks from the UK Regional Distribution Centres to our depot in Ballynure Co Antrim utilising using our own Personnel, Trucks and Double Decks Box Vans to Maximise capacity.

Final mile delivery is again carried out by Woodside own personnel and Rigid Vehicles equipped with tail lifts. Our Warehouse and Driver teams are experienced in sensitively handling roller cages, engines, body panels, bumpers, glass, wheel sets, oils, paints, exhausts, totes and crates.

Next Day early morning deliveries are vital to ensure dealerships have there VOR Parts on site as soon as possible to ensure all servicing commitments are met.

Upon receipt at the dealership all deliveries are signed for electronically on our drivers PDA phone. This updates our transport management system instantly enabling daily generation of real time delivery KPI reports.  In addition to this our bespoke asset control system allows dealership personnel to enter return cage information via our online portal ensuring traceability of assets from Northern Ireland dealerships to UK Regional Distribution Centres.
