Woodside Logistics Group has recently joined forces with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP); the official provider of Armed Forces Resettlement, to help promote a range of career opportunities at Woodsides, to Service Leavers.
Serving your country is a role that many Service men and women hold with pride. Some military careers however can end early due to an injury, illness, family circumstances or as a result of a career move. Whatever the reason, a move from a career in the armed forces back to civilian life can be challenging, due to the difficulties with transferable skills, injuries and adjusting to life at large.
Knowing these difficulties, Woodside Logistics Group will work with CTP to promote vacancies to Service Leavers, as well as up-skilling and supporting them in preparation for their move into the logistics sector.
Joanne Hamilton, Human Resources Manager for Woodside Logistics Group commented on this recruitment move saying ‘We firmly believe that every individual should pursue a career move of their choice, and have a fair and equal chance at doing so. Woodside Logistics Group understands the support that is required for Service leavers to transition into a new career, and through our relationship with CTP, are assisting with the transition of those wishing to avail of a career at Woodsides.’
