219 lives will be helped following the Blood Donation Bus visit to Woodside Logistics Group

On Friday 23rd August the Blood Mobile (blood donation bus) was back again at our Ballynure site. This visit follows the interest of a large number of staff who signed up to donate and show their support for family and friends who require regular blood transfusions. Staff were joined by local members of the public who visited the bus throughout the day.

In total 94 people attended and 73 donated (this was due to some people not being unable to donate on the day eg: due to illness. Of the 73 who donated, 20 were new donars. With each blood donation helping to save 3 lives, together through the kindness of both staff and the public, an impressive 219 lives will be helped as a result of their good deeds! A big thank you to everyone involved.

The Blood donation bus will be back on site again soon. Details will be confirmed in due course.
