Woodside Logistics Group, the County Antrim haulage and distribution company with freight forwarding and customs clearance capabilities, has gained the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) accreditation from HMRC through one of the Group companies Woodside Global (formerly All-Route Shipping Ltd).
The certification recognises the Group’s role within the international supply chain and is a mark of quality for it’s customs controls and procedures. Whilst not yet a mandatory requirement for logistic operators, carriers or custom agents, the certification provides confidence that the Group is efficient and compliant in its customs related activities.
With Brexit on the horizon, the certification brings many benefits including a simplified custom procedure and the possibility to fast-track shipments in some cases.
Michael Woods, Director, Woodside Global, “Woodside Global (formerly All-Route Shipping Ltd) underwent a comprehensive audit process to demonstrate the company’s ability to handle customs goods competently, safely and securely. We are delighted to have the AEO status and this stands us in good stead for a post Brexit landscape”.
Michael continues, “The Certification provides clear endorsement of Woodside Logistics Group as a secure and reliable logistics provider”.
