Back in May 2018, and following an internal vote, an unanimous agreement was put forward by staff to support the Air Ambulance Northern Ireland as the chosen charity for Woodside Logistics Group. This vital life-saving service is key to accessing some of the most serious, traumatic and remote medical incidents throughout Northern Ireland, enabling patients to receive urgent medical care and attention.
We are proud partners, branding two of our Haulage trailers as well as a rigid lorry for our Distribution division to show our continued support and awareness for the charity, alongside various fundraising activities all year round.
We regularly support our local communities through a wide range of activities to include Ballyclare Secondary School in their F24 Kit Car Project, Ballyclare Rugby Club with their Annual Mini Rugby Festival and participating in the Ballyclare Mayfair Soap Box Challenge.
Raising awareness of the importance of the logistics sector to local schools also plays a key part in our outreach programmes. Giving pupils an insight into a career in the logistics sector, will only help to attract new recruits to the industry in the years to come.

With over 500 staff, our employee headcount continues to grow just like our business. We are firm believers that happy employees lead to a productive workforce. With this in mind, we invest in all areas of employee engagement and development to include; in-role training, the provision of a healthcare plan for staff and immediate family, well-being initiatives, recognition for long-service, a year round engagement calendar and much more!
